Platinum-selling artist Jay-Z (a.k.a. Hov) is headlining a summer concert in Connecticut on Friday at Mohegan Sun Arena.

It's the rapper's only East Coast destination this year.

Grammy Award-winner, Ciara, will accompany the talented Brooklyn native for some of the tour, including his highly anticipated stop in CT.  Not to worry, Beyoncé. It’s just business!

His buzz was stirred up in 2003 surrounding his "retirement." An even hotter topic was his unexpected return a few years later.  Record-breaking sales of his album, “Kingdom Come,” solidified his comeback.

At 39, Jay-Z is one of the world’s most successful hip-hoppers to date and he continues to please his fans. Of course, there's no telling when "Hov" will decide to forfeit the rap game (this time for real), so before he calls it quits, you should try and catch him.

Jay-Z's show is at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville at 8 p.m. on Friday.
