GOOD VIBRATIONS:  Trust us, the rain won't deter the crowd at the Gathering of the Vibes.  Friday kicks off with George Clinton and P-Funk, followed by moe. Guster and then Bob Weir & Rat Dog take the stage Saturday night.  And Sunday, the Harlem Gospel Choir wakes everyone up before noon, and Crosby, Stills & Nash own the stage at 6 PM.

WIND IN YOUR SAILS:  Set sail this weekend at Mystic Seaport for the 34th Annual Antique and Classic Boat Rendezvous.  40 Classic power and sail boats will participate in the event, which showcases restored and antique vessels built before 1965.  There will even be a competition with prizes awarded for excellence in restoration, authenticity and workmanship.  Saturday 9AM-5PM & Sunday 9AM-12:30PM.

LOCALLY GROWN:  Hear that? It's Music at the Market at the Collinsville Farmers Market.  Located on Main Street in the downtown Collinsville section of Canton, the market features locally grown produce and live music from the porch of the Downright Music and Art.  Performing this weekend is Ariel Bellvalaire, a 15-year-old pop singer-songwriter who just released her debut CD.  In our humble opinion, the young lady can play! Sunday 10AM-1PM.

SERVED UP:  Pilot Pen Tennis is looking for a few good ball kids for this years tournament.  Tryouts are being held this weekend at the Yale University tennis courts.  Interested youngsters (boys & girls 12-18) will need to be available to work for the entire week of the tournament (August 21-29).  There's no experience necessary.  They'll provide all the training.  Click here for more information and to print out the waiver your kids will need to bring to try out.  Saturday & Sunday 9AM-NOON.
