The weekend's almost here, so why not kick back, relax and have a ball! Here's a look at a few things on tap for tonight.

Instead of unwinding at the bar, why not have a brew at the ballpark courtesy of the Rock Cats. The new Samuel Adams Rooftop Bar & Grill at New Britain Stadium is hosting pregame cocktails. There are food and drink specials from 5:35 p.m. until first pitch is thrown. You can get $3 Sam Adams seasonal brews and $1 off all hot dog and hamburger platters.

Take dinner to the max with the Chef to Farm dinner series. Max restaurants are featuring fresh Connecticut fare at Rosedale Farms in Simsbury. Dinner starts at 6:30 p.m.  This week's chef is Chef Miller with Guest Chef Hunter Morton of Max Downtown.

And if you're still feeling a little patriotic from the July 4th holiday, strike up the band with the Sounds of Summer Concert Series and the Governor's Foot Guard Band. The concert's on the East Hartford town green on Main Street at 6 p.m. The best part, the concert's free!

Enjoy your Thursday!
