AP Ranks UConn Women’s Basketball Team Third in Preseason Poll

    The UConn women’s basketball team is in a position it has not been in for a few years. The Associated Press preseason poll is out and UConn is not in the top spot.

    The AP ranked Notre Dame number one, followed by Baylor. UConn comes in at number 3.

    UConn has been the top choice 11 times in the Associated Press preseason poll, one short of the record held by Tennessee.

    UConn was the preseason No. 1 in 1995, '99, 2000, 2001, 2003, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2013, 2014 and 2015.
