Men's Non-Conference Games Set for 2011-12

A few weeks ago, the UConn men's basketball Big East match-ups were unveiled, and now we know who the Huskies will face in their 10 non-conferences home games, too.

In a Monday press release, the university announced that the Huskies would begin the 2011-12 regular season with four non-conference games: Columbia (Nov. 11), Wagner (Nov. 14), Maine (Nov. 17) and Coppin State (Nov. 20). The team will then head to Paradise Island, Bahamas for three games at the Battle 4 Atlantis, a tournament that includes Harvard, Florida State, Utah, Central Florida, College of Charleston and UNC-Asheville. UConn's opponents are yet to be determined.

Then there's the annual Big East/SEC Challenge, where UConn will host Arkansas on Dec. 3. The Huskies finish off their non-conference home schedule against Harvard (Dec.7), Holy Cross (Dec. 18) and Fairfield (Dec. 22), before playing their last non-conference game on the road against Tennessee.

The Huskies will also host two exhibition games against Jim Calhoun's alma mater AIC on Nov. 2 (here's to hoping Calhoun is still coaching!) and C.W. Post on Nov. 6.
