The UConn men's basketball team announced its 2014-15 non-conference schedule Monday and it by matchups against ACC powerhouse Duke and a rematch with Florida.
The schedule includes six home games, two road games, and four games at neutral sites.
Nov. 4: The first of two exhibition games, this one against Division II Southern Connecticut State University.
Nov. 9: Assumption, another Division II school, comes to town for the second exhibition game.
Nov. 14: Regular-season opener at home vs. Bryant University.
Nov. 20-23: For the first time, the Huskies will take part in the Puerto Rico Tip-Off. Their first opponent: College of Charleston. On Nov. 21, UConn will either face Dayton or Texas A&M. Two days later, their opponent could be George Mason, West Virginia, New Mexico, or Boston College. The tournament will be televised on ESPN.
Nov. 30: The Huskies host the University of Texas.
Dec. 5: Yale visits UConn.
Dec. 14: A post-exams matchup with Coppin St.
Dec. 18: Duke and UConn meet at the IZOD Center in East Rutherford, NJ.
Dec. 22: Columbia comes to UConn
Dec. 28: Next up: Central Connecticut
Jan. 3: UConn travels to Gainesville to face Florida, whom they beat twice last season, including a Final Four matchup
Jan. 17: It's off to Palo Alto, Calif., for a matchup with Stanford.
