Mel Gibson's Costa Rica Compound For Sale

Here's hoping second time's a charm for Mel Gibson. The newly divorced actor recently re-listed his gigantic Costa Rican compound for a steep $29.8 million after unsuccessfully trying to sell it in 2010, reports The Wall Street Journal.

Gibson, whose divorce to Oksana Grigorieva was finalized late last year, originally listed the sweet 500-acre (yes, you heard right!) estate in 2010 for $35 million. Featuring a mix of beachfront and jungle terrain, the sprawling compound boasts a two-story hacienda-style house that includes seven bedrooms and eight baths.

In addition to the main house, Gibson's property boasts two smaller guest cottages, each which feature two bedrooms, a veranda, vaulted ceilings, a kitchen and a private swimming pool. And, if that wasn't enough Gibson's sweet Central American hideaway also overlooks the beach and comes with even more jaw-dropping amenities such as a Balinese entertaining house with no walls, a restaurant and yet, another cottage.

If shelling out $28.9 million is a bit too rich for your blood, then you'll want to take a look at Gibson's posh Malibu estate, which is still up for grabs for the comparatively "cheaper" price of $11.8 million.
