NBC Connecticut/Red Cross Blood Drive at Dunkin' Donuts Park

People got a start the summer on a lifesaving note by donating blood at the NBC Connecticut Blood Drive on Thursday, June 22 at Dunkin’ Donuts Park, home of the Yard Goats!

The American Red Cross held the blood drive from 7:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. at Dunkin’ Donuts Park at 1214 Main Street in Hartford. Free parking was available. All presenting donors got a tour of the stadium, a free ticket to an upcoming Yard Goats game, and a free ticket to Six Flags New England. They also had a chance to make a monetary donation to American Red Cross Disaster Relief.

Save up to three lives with a single blood donation.

Well over 200 units were collected Thursday thanks to the overwhelming turnout at our blood drive at Dunkin' Donuts Park.

If you were not able to donate today, rest assured, your donation is still critical this summer. Go to the Red Cross website to find a drive near you.
