Start Something Big Gala

It will take place on Friday, Nov. 14 at the Hartford Golf Club on 134 Norwood Road in West Hartford. 

Nutmeg Big Brothers Big Sisters is an affiliate of Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, and it helps children from single- and no-parent homes to reach their potential and avoid negative behaviors.

Little Sister Alyssa and her Big sister Karen Perham-Lippman, will speak about their successful match and how it has positively impacted their lives. Alyssa has created a “Please Sponsor My Speech” page for people to leave donations to support more matches like hers being created. 

The evening will include a cocktail reception and silent auction from 6-7 p.m., a filet mignon and jumbo shrimp dinner at 7 p.m., and a live auction as well as a Make-a-Match Opportunity at 8 p.m.
