Bethenny Frankel: I Had a Miscarriage

Bethenny Frankel shares an off-camera emotional moment with "Today Show"

Bethenny Frankel said the new season of her reality show did not capture all the emotional moments in her life.

"We were pregnant with a second baby and at eight weeks I miscarried," Frankel said on Monday’s “Today Show."

The emotional miscarriage left Frankel unsure if she would have another child.

“I’m not really thinking about it,” she said. “I don’t feel that I know what my options are.”

Frankel finds happiness in her 21-month-old daughter Bryn, who she says she is lucky to have.

“I find myself thinking about women who can't have their own baby, even the first baby," Frankel said.

Frankel was part of the original cast of Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of New York City." She landed a spin-off,  “Bethenny Getting Married” in which she wed Jason Hoppy. On the second season—“Bethenny Ever After"— the newlyweds welcomed baby Bryn into the family.

In addition to announcing her personal lost, Frankel also shared that she had another health scare.  She told the “Today Show" that she had an ulcer in her esophagus after taking an antibiotic before bed without a full glass of water. For a few days she was unable to swallow and had to put interviews on hold.

For the third season of “ Bethenny Ever After” Frankel and Hoppy will settle into second year of marriage and parenthood.

“This season is just my life; it’s just the truth,” said Frankel. “It’s hard for me to balance a business, and having a baby, being a good friend, and romance, and I just work through it.”
