Harry Potter” star Rupert Grint said he feared catching swine flu would be like Lord Voldemort’s killing curse.

"It was quite scary when I first found out I had swine flu,” said Grint, the actor who plays Ron Weasley, best bud of bespeckled wizard savior Harry Potter. “I thought, 'Am I going to die?'”

Grint caught the flu recently while shooting "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," the seventh – and final – film based on author J.K. Rowling’s bestsellers. Rowling’s final book is being split into two movies.

On Tuesday, Grint was expected to show up with fellow cast members at the London premiere the latest “Potter” film, "Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince," AFP reported. The film opens in the U.S. July 15.

Grint said that his fear of swine flu eventually subsided.

“It was just like any other flu really,” he told AFP. "I had a sore throat and I went to bed for a few days."
