NJ Housewife Danielle Staub Quits the Stripper Pole

Volatile reality TV star says she was abused as a kid

Former "Real Housewives of New Jersey" has cut short her second act as a New York City stripper.

The onetime reality TV star said her foray into displaying skin was rooted in childhood sexual abuse, and she is now getting psychological help, according to People magazine.

"I have addictions with love and low self-esteem, and I need help!" said Staub, 48, after photos of her dancing nude at Scores made the rounds on the Internet. Staub blamed past handlers for getting her involved in stripping.

She said she has sought the help of "Celebrity Rehab" star Dr. Drew Pinsky.
