Here's Peter Pan! Allison Williams will be the boy from Neverland in NBC's "Peter Pan Live!" airing this December. The "Girls" star debuted the first photo of herself in character on NBC's "Today." Christopher Walken will take on the role of Peter Pan's nemesis Captain Hook.

"I have wanted to play Peter Pan since I was about three years old, so this is a dream come true," Williams said in a statement when her casting was announced in August. "Peter Pan Live!" hails from "Smash" and "The Sound of Music Live!" producers Neil Meron and Craig Zadan. NBC's live version of the classic musical is based on the original Broadway production which was based on the book by J.M. Barrie.

"Allison Williams is a major find," Zadan and Meron said in a statement. "She will reinvent the iconic role of Peter Pan with her wit, her warmth, her dynamic flying and her wonderful musical abilities. The score will be sung beautifully and introduced to a whole new generation of families."

"Peter Pan Live!" comes to NBC on Thursday, Dec. 4.
