Amy Schumer Confuses Fans With Talk of Canceled Show Following Rape Blame Ruckus

The boisterous comedienne had fans in a tizzy when they thought she announced her Comedy Central show was done

Calm down 'Inside Amy Schumer' fans. Schumer's Comedy Central show hasn't been canceled, although comments from the boisterous comedienne led some of her most fervent followers to believe they were going to get a lot less Amy in the future.

The confusion stems from Schumer coming down strongly against rape comments made on social media by Kurt Metzger, a one-time writer on the comedy show.

Metzger went on a what many described as gender blaming rant slamming female rape victims. The social media posts caught the attention of Schumer, who both denounced his comments and then said Metzger no longer worked as a writer for the show.

"I'm saddened and disappointed in Kurt Metzger,” she wrote."He is a friend and a great writer and I couldn't be more against his recent actions.;

What confused many is Schumer saying Metzger go longer worked for the show because there was no longer a show to work on. Shumer later clarified the show had not been canceled, but was rather on hiatus while she toured the country.
