‘Blindspot' Star Jaimie Alexander Reveals Her Seven-Hour Tattoo Process

Jaimie Alexander is covered in tattoos for NBC's "Blindspot," but it's maybe not as many as you think. TV magic, y'all. The butt-kicking star revealed most days the process is a far cry from the full-body 7-hour process it took for the season premiere episode.

"Every single day I put on the arms and then chest up," she revealed to E! News. "And the neck and part of my back...Typically I'm in the forearms and the chest up, which takes like an hour and a half."

In the action-packed series, Alexander stars as Jane Doe, a woman who mysteriously appears naked in Times Square, covered with tattoos that are keys to cases. She winds up teaming up with Agent Kurt Weller of the FBI (Sullivan Stapleton) when they discover his name tattooed across her back.

The "Thor" star said the role has her fighting quite a bit–when you see the first episode Monday night at 10 p.m. on NBC, you'll see why–and to recover from that she and her stunt double BFF cook healthy food together (they also live together in New York!), and do Aqua Cycle, which is basically Soul Cycle, but in water.

Stapleton, a veteran of "Strike Back," knows a thing or two about kicking butt on TV, but he didn't know Alexander before "Blindspot." "I guess that's been the great part: We get to work together and I get to watch this girl kick absolute ass," he told us.

"Blindspot" premieres Monday, Sept. 21 at 10 p.m. on NBC after The Voice.

(E! and NBC are both part of the NBCUniversal family.)
