See It: Jimmy Fallon's Golden Globes Promo

Fallon previously hosted the 2010 Emmy Awards for NBC.

Jimmy Fallon is lighting up for the Golden Globes.

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association and NBC just released the first promo for Fallon's upcoming debut as host of the movie and TV award show.

In the clip, Fallon and Questlove are bundled up outside a house with the late night talk show host announcing, "OK, Questlove, this is it--the big reveal! This is what I'm doing January 8th."

And then he turns on the home's holiday lights that spell out "Golden Globes" on the roof. However, it all short circuits and leaves us with, "Old Gobs!"

Oopsy.

It was announced in August that Fallon will be taking on hosting duties for the 74th Annual Golden Globe Awards.

"I'm so excited to be hosting The Golden Globes in January," Fallon tweeted. "And I'm really looking forward to spending time with the Hollywood Foreign Press before Donald Trump has them all deported."

Fallon previously hosted the 2010 Emmy Awards for NBC. Ricky Gervais hosted the ceremony in 2016 and from 2010-2012. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler hosted from 2013-2015.

"We're thrilled to announce Jimmy as host of The 74th Annual Golden Globes," NBC Entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt said in a statement at the time of The Tonight Show host's Globes announcement. "This is the most spontaneous and uninhibited award show on television, and Jimmy's playful, disarming comedic brilliance makes him the ideal host to enhance and elevate the sense of fun and irreverence that's made the Golden Globes one of the premier events of the entire broadcast year."

HFPA president Lorenzo Soria said, "Jimmy Fallon is an exceptionally talented and dynamic entertainer and we couldn't be more excited that he'll be hosting the 2017 Golden Globes. His charm, wit and incredible spontaneity will play exceedingly well both to everyone at the show as well as the millions watching at home from around the world."

The 74th Annual Golden Globe Awards airs live on Sunday, Jan. 8, 2017 at 8 p.m. on NBC. Nominations will be announced on Dec. 13.
