Miley Cyrus can’t stop proving that she’s no longer a Disney sweetheart.
The "Can't Be Tamed" singer debuted her latest music video for “We Can’t Stop” Wednesday, which has already garnered more than 6 million views.
Cyrus is shown in the Diane Martel-directed video writhing on a bed, twerking with friends and others dressed as teddy bears – and even making out with a doll in a pool.
“Forget the haters,” Cyrus sings at one point. Another provocative line from the song is: “Everyone in line in the bathroom, trying to get a line in the bathroom.”
Cyrus said in a recent interview with Billboard magazine that she felt disconnected from her past records. "I want to start as a new artist. I consider my upcoming album my first, really," she said.
“We Can’t Stop” speaks to Cyrus’ determination to be who she is, judging by such lyrics as, “It’s our party we can do what we want to … It’s my mouth I can say what I want to.”
Cyrus tweeted on Wednesday, "Hearing what you all have to say about the video means to much to me…y'all are making me tear up! #WeCan'tStopPremiere," according to E! Online.
