New ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming' Trailer Includes Robert Downey Jr., Casts Michael Keaton as Villain

The film hits the theaters on July 7, 2016

The wait is almost over.

The first full-length trailer for 2017's "Spider-man: Homecoming" debuted during "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" Thursday night. And if the two minute sneak peek is any indication, fans of the rebooted series are in for a fun ride.

Twenty-year-old Tom Holland takes over the titular role last occupied by Andrew Garfield in 2014's "The Amazing Spider-Man 2." Fans got a small dose of Holland in 2016's "Captain America: Civil War," when the new character was introduced while being recruited by Robert Downey Jr. The "Iron Man" star also appears in the trailer, along with co-stars Marisa Tomei and Michael Keaton.

Infused with a good dose of humor, the re-invented series has Holland's Peter Parker back in high school as he works at proving himself worthy enough to Downey to be invited into The Avengers.

The film hits the theaters on July 7, 2017.
