    The complete series of "The Sopranos" surged from No. 936 on Amazon's best-selling DVD list to No. 1 in the wake of actor James Gandolfini's untimely death.

    "The Sopranos: The Complete Series," priced at $124.99, also made it to No. 2 under the Best Sellers in Movies & TV category.

    The first season of the HBO hit show is sitting pretty at No. 5 on Amazon as of Friday morning.

    The 51-year-old star who played the lead Tony Soprano -- a brutal but emotionally delicate New Jersey crime boss -- died of a heart attack on Wednesday during a trip to Italy.
