Vatican Newspaper Slams ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens'

A Vatican newspaper has given the new ‘Star Wars’ chapter two thumbs down, according to NBC News.

L’Osservatore Romano called the movie “confused and hazy” in a review, saying the film “fails most spectacularly” in its representation of evil.

Darth Vader and the Emperor Palpatine were called “effective villains,” while the new film’s counterpart Ken Rylo was called “insipid,” NBC News said.

The newspaper, which reports on activities of the Holy See and on events in the Roman Catholic Church, suggested the film was more of a reboot than a sequel.
