James Franco Goes From NYU Student to NYU Professor

Is there anything James Franco can't do (Besides banter with Anne Hathaway)?

Barely a year after graduating from NYU, Franco will return - as a professor. The actor will reportedly teach a third-year film course focused on adapting poetry into short films, according to The New York Post.

Franco, who has directed two short films himself in addition to appearing in large, blockbuster movies like "Spider-Man," "Pineapple Express," and the Academy Award-nominated "127 Hours," adds this latest endeavor to an already staggering list of accomplishments for a guy just barely into his 30s.

In between attending doctoral classes at Yale, displaying his artwork at a TriBeCa gallery, and taking a Master's writing class at Columbia University, Franco published a volume of short stories called "Palo Alto," had a head-scratching recurring role on the soap opera "General Hospital," and, of course, co-hosted the 83rd Annual Academy Awards.

Oh, he also starred in "127 Hours" and earned a Best Actor nomination.

Next up for Franco onscreen is a re-teaming with "Pineapple Express" co-star Danny McBride and Best Actress winner Natalie Portman for the sword and sorcery spoof "Your Highness."
