Angelina Jolie to Shoot Love Story Set in War Torn Bosnia

Angelina Jolie will begin filming a love story this fall about two lovers who met at the brink of the Bosnian War during the 1992-1995 conflict.

The movie announcement came after Jolie's visit to Sarajevo this weekend, reported Reuters.

Jolie, a United Nations Goodwill Ambassador, met with top officials to discuss plans for helping thousands of refugees return to their homes they left during the war 15 years ago.

"This film is a love story, not a political statement," said Jolie in a statement released by the UN.

The actress first drew attention to the war torn past of the region when she and beau Brad Pitt visited in April and promised to return.

Jolie added that she wanted to included local cast members and actors from the former Yugoslavia in the film.

"I would like to involve as many local people as possible and learn as much as I can," said Jolie.

No information has been released whether Jolie's family, including Pitt and their six children will join her in Sarajevo during filming.
