SuBo Sings for Pope in Scotland

Now she’s lived the dream she dreamed.

Pop star Susan Boyle helped welcome Pope Benedict XVI to Scotland by performing with a 800-member choir at an open-air mass Thursday at Glasgow’s Bellahouston Park, according to reports.

The 49-year-old Catholic “Britain’s Got Talent” breakout star and recording artist performed her hit, “I Dreamed a Dream” from “Les Miserables,” as well as the hymn “Make Me a Channel of Your Peace” for the crowd of about 65,000 faithful, People mag reported.

Last month, Boyle described the chance to sing for the pope as a “great honor” and something she’d always wished would happen in her lifetime.

"It's something I've always dreamed of, it's something I've always wanted to do, and here I am, finally getting the chance," Boyle told Sky News shortly before her performance on Thursday.
