Disgraced Former “Idol” Finds Redemption on “Voice”

Remember Frenchie Davis? The season two "American Idol" contestant who blew the judges away with her mighty pipes, only to be disqualified when topless photos she had taken earlier in her career surfaced and threatened the then-fledgingly show's squeaky-clean image? Well, she's back.

During last night's premiere of "The Voice" - NBC's new reality competitive reality series starring Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Blake Shelton, and Adam Levine - Davis lent her voice to Katy Perry's "I Kissed a Girl" during the Blind Auditions (where the judges can hear but not see the contestants).

The song may have been a poor fit for Davis, who went unheralded by the judges until Aguilera chose her for her talent "roster."

When her identity was revealed, Green was the first to recognize her - greeting the former Idol contestant with a "What's up, Frenchie?" The singer seemed surprised that she was recognized.
