At Least Shaq Can LOL About It

It's been a rough week for Shaquille O'Neal.

Early Thursday morning, the new Cleveland Cavalier was cited for "impeding traffic" on a Hollywood street, according to police. LAPD Officer April Harding told City News Service that O'Neal was issued a ticket at about 2 a.m. near Cahuenga Boulevard and Selma Avenue.

She said O'Neal's Ford F-350 pickup was stopped in the street while he "was talking to several individuals." Several nightclubs are in the area.

The Associated Press reported that O'Neal was cited for impeding the reasonable movement of traffic and allowed to drive off.

Then came this post on O'Neal's Twitter page: "went to the la zoo today, a chimpanzee spit at me, dam i must be ugly, lol."

At least he can laugh out loud about it.

O'Neal created waves Sunday when he took on Olympic gold medalist Michael Phelps as part of the show "Shaq vs." He competed against Phelps in Baltimore.

That episode is scheduled to air Sept. 15.

The show pits O'Neal against professional athletes in other sports after negotiating a handicap and receiving a week of training in the sport.
