Ramsay, the man behind "Kitchen Nightmares" and "Hell's Kitchen," penned an open letter to his mother-in-law which was published in the London Evening Standard. In it, he justifies firing his father-in-law, former Gordon Ramsay Holdings CEO Chris Hutcheson, admits having him folllowed by detectives and begs his wife Tana's mum Greta Hutcheson not to hold it against his family.
"I'm not expecting a birthday card, but you're punishing your daughter and our four children, for all the wrong reasons, it's so sad," Ramsay, 44, wrote. "She's an amazing woman and you've been a fantastic mum ... please don't stop!!!"
Ramsay says he fired his father-in-law because he signed contracts in Ramsay's name and ruled the company like "a dictator."
A friend of Hutcheson told he paper Ramsay booted his father-in-law unceremoniously.
“It would have been nice to have ended a 12-year relationship in an orderly way over a drink but Gordon chose to lock him out of the office without notice. That is what's caused the family rift.”
