Cake Boss to Open Bakery in Greenwich

TLC’S Cake Boss is expanding to Connecticut.

Carlo's Bakery, famous for its hit TLC series, Cake Boss, is planning to open a shop in downtown Greenwich.

The gray stucco building connected to Urban Outfitters on 20 E Elm Street will be redone to match the New Jersey locations, including the signature brick with a red awning.

The inside of the bakery will look like the Ridgewood, New Jersey location.

The bakery which has locations in Hoboken, Ridgewood, and Westfield, New Jersey found in research that many visitors coming to the Jersey City facilities were from the Greenwich area, Adam Bourcier, the chief brand officer for Carlos’s Bakery, said.

“We offer classes in the Jersey City facility, and every month we found that people from around that zip code were going to the classes,” Bourcier said.

Carlo's Bakery is in the process of an expansion plan and the Greenwich location will be the first outside of New Jersey.

“All of our locations have a great downtown, and Greenwich has that downtown,” Bourcier said.

The grand opening date has not been set, but is planned for this fall.
