Celebrate UConn Wins With Free or Cheap Food

    As if the double UConn NCAA wins were not enough, that means free or cheap food today for fans.

    Dunkin Donuts has been giving away free medium hot and iced coffees all day to fans who download the chain's mobile app. More information about the special offer is available online.

    Special UConn-themed doughnuts are also available today.

    FroyoWorld, which was founded by UConn alumni and basketball fans, is giving away free eight-ounce Froyo to the first 100 customers at participating stores from noon to 5 p.m.

    Moes’s Southwest Grill locations in Connecticut are celebrating the UConn men and women winning the national NCAA titles with $1 burritos.

    Moe’s will be selling burritos for $1 all day long at participating stores, except at the Milford Travel Plaza. That’s one per person. Any additional burritos will be full price, according to Tweets from Moe’s Connecticut Twitter account. 

    There are 17 Moe's locations in Connecticut and one will be opening soon on the Berlin Turnpike in Newington.

    Brothers, William and Dennis Bok, founded Froyo World.

    “We want to send our congratulations to the Huskies and UCONN,” they wrote in a news release. “We’re sure our Connecticut customers will enjoy celebrating the Husky win with us at our stores.”

    The participating locations are in Cheshire, East Haven, Glastonbury, Hamden, Middletown, Mystic, New Britain, New Haven, New London, North Haven, Southbury, Storrs, Waterbury, Waterford and Westport.
