Foxwoods to Add Indoor Kart Racing

Foxwoods Casino is adding indoor European-style kart racing and said the track will include dramatic elevation changes and hairpin turns.

Foxwoods teamed up with On Track Karting for a multi-level track and the casino will have gas-powered, nine-horsepower karts, according to a news release about the new center.

“Our goal is to continue to provide more fun and exciting reasons for guests to visit Foxwoods,” Felix Rappaport, president and CEO of Foxwoods Resort Casino said in a statement. “As a leader in the entertainment industry, this is the next logical step as we continue to evolve into the premier resort destination in North America.”

Construction is set to begin in late September and the karting center is scheduled to open in early 2018.

Foxwoods recently opened the Thrill Tower and has plans to open the HighFlyer Zipline.
