The New Haven Symphony Orchestra will hold a dinner and special performance to benefit the Community Soup kitchen in the city.
The fourth oldest orchestra in the country will have a dinner prior to a concert Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Tickets for the general public will be a $40 donation. Beef stew, emerald chicken, vegetable curry, salad and brown bread will be served at Anna Liffey's at 17 Whitney Avenue in downtown New Haven.
After the feast, NHSO's Holiday Extravaganza will be held at Woolsey Hall to "will warm hearts and enchant listeners with music."
Kids will be admitted for free with the purchase of an adult ticket.
All of the proceeds will benefit Community Soup Kitchen.
