Police in Bridgeport and and Old Saybrook are investigating two serious crashes that injured at least six people Wednesday evening.
Five people were hurt when four cars collided on Fairfield Ave. in Bridgeport. The impact forced one car to roll over. Two of the victim were listed in critical condition.
In Old Saybrook, a driver was rushed to the hospital after driving into a home. Police said the woman veered off the road near Maple Ave. and Cambridge Court.
She was pulled from the car and flown to Yale-New Haven Hospital. The home did not suffer serious damage.
