Rell: "Give Us Our Drugs"

Governor M. Jodi Rell asked the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to release more of the state's allotted dosage of Tamiflu.
The request came Friday, when the CDC raised Connecticut's flu activity classification to widespread. That's the highest level of activity according to the CDC.
“In one week, we have seen a dramatic increase in suspected cases of the H1N1 flu across the state," Rell said in a statement. "It is vital that our hospitals and pharmacies have enough Tamiflu and Relenza on hand to meet any surge in demand.”
In April, the CDC gave Connecticut more than 130,000 treatment courses of medication. That is one quarter of what the state has been allocated.
The drugs help the body fight the infection.
