Body Found Could Be Missing Man

The search for a missing man in Southbury seems to have taken a deadly turn. State police have confirmed the discovery of a body in the area of Pomperaug Trail off of Berkshire Road and have arrested a man in connection with the case.

The discovery was made Friday by troopers after hours of searching. The remains were not identified and were sent to the office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy, but police said they are likey the remains of Michael J. Weaving, 24, of Southbury.

Weaving was last seen Thursday near the area of Flood Bridge Road where his parents live.

Police arrested David Eisenbach, 23, of 17 Pomperaug Trail, Southbury on Saturday. He is charged with aiding and abetting murder, assault, reckless endangerment, sale of narcotics, tampering with evidence, and hindering prosecution.

Eisenbach is being held on $1.5 million bond. He will be arraigned in Waterbury Superior Court on Monday.
