A Watertown man is furious, claiming his neighbor kidnapped his cats and gave them to someone else.

Don Orsini lives in the rural area of Middlebury Road, which is just around the corner from where Cynthia Cykley lives, the Waterbury Republican American reports

On Sept. 20, she found the mother cat and two kitties in a box in her driveway and called the newspaper for help to find them a new home, the Republican-American reports.

The following day, the paper ran an article and a picture of the cats. Soon after that, the felines were given away to two local families. Upon learning what had happened, Orsini called the Republican American to complain the cats were his.

There has been no resolution to the complaint.
