A pro-life activist was gunned down in front of a Michigan high school early Friday, and the alleged killer is also a suspect in another slaying.
Jim Pouillon, 63, who was killed in front of Owosso High School, in Owosso, Mich., at around 7:30 a.m., was killed while protesting abortion, as he was known to do around the area. The shooting came after most students were off the buses and safely inside the building, an official said. Students were kept inside onlockdown
Michigan state police said a suspect was arrested at his home about 45 minutes later. Police said the suspect admitted killing another man, gravel pit owner Mike Fuoss, earlier in the day.
Witnesses said there was a portable oxygen tank lying in a front yard next to a large sign bearing the image of a baby and the word "Life." Students said he was a fixture outside the school and often held up graphic photos of aborted fetuses.
