Foxwoods and the MGM Grand casinos have a new boss.
The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Council, which runs Foxwoods Resort Casino in eastern Connecticut, has appointed Michael F. Speller president of the Mashantucket Pequot Gaming Enterprise.
He is a casino executive with 35 years experience in domestic and international gambling jurisdictions, holding key positions with large corporate and Native American gambling operators.
Speller takes over the reins a few weeks in the aftermath of hundreds of layoffs.
Interim president, Barry Cregan, will resume his role as senior vice president of resort operations.
