Get Screened for Cancer for Free

Hartford Hospital is offering early detection exams for breast, prostate and colon cancer.

When it comes to cancer early detection is key but it can be tough when you are financially strapped or have inadequate health insurance.

To help, Hartford Hospital is holding free screenings for breast, prostate and colon cancer.

Here are the scheduled screenings.  

  • Phillips CME Church: 2550 Main St., Hartford, Saturday,  June 27, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Hispanic Health Council: 175 Main St., Hartford, Thursday, August 6, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Hope Seventh Day Adventist Church: 1052 Blue Hills Ave., Hartford, Sunday, August 30, TBD
  • Community Health Services: 350 Albany Ave., Hartford, Saturday, September 26, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • First Cathedral Church: 1151 Blue Hills Ave., Bloomfield, Saturday, October 10, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.   

The dates are tentative, so call the Helen & Harry Gray Cancer Center at (860) 545-1105.
