Officials at Charter Oak said they weren't aware of the case and are looking into the situation.

Screenings will be offered at the 21 Grand St. site on Friday, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

At the beginning of each hour, a nurse will talk about TB, including its risks and how it's transferred. After that, people can decide whether to be screened.

Symptoms of the bacterial infection can include a bad cough that lasts three weeks or longer, pain in the chest; coughing up blood or sputum, weakness or fatigue, weight loss, no appetite, chills, fever and sweating at night, according to the Centers for Disease Control.
