A tearful Lynn Quigley admitted to torching a Winsted apartment building last October just so she could see if her estranged husband was inside.

The 22-year-old said she just wanted to "keep an eye on him" Wednesday in Litchfield Superior Court .

Quigley was apparently seeking revenge after learning her estranged husband had been having an affair with someone at the apartment building on Greenwoods Avenue.

Police say she lit gasoline on fire in the basement of the building on Oct. 18 to force him out of the apartment.

The prosecutor said Quigley wanted her estranged husband to be left without a home and forced to live with her mother. Quigley faces 10 to 20 years in jail when she is sentenced in August.
