Bridgeport Hot Dog Stand Must Move

If you live in Bridgeport, then you are probably familiar with the hot dog stand outside the state courthouse.

After quite some time though, the fixture at the corner of Fairfield Avenue and Main Street is gone. Snappy Dawgs will no longer be able to sell you that hot dog with relish you’ve come to crave, the Stamford Advocate reports.

The owner, Janet Marzan, has a vendor's license and a permit from the city's Department of Health to operate the stand until Feb. 15, 20100, but police told the newspaper that, the decision  "came from the top."

Mayor Bill Finch's spokeswoman, Elaine Ficarra, told the paper the mayor was unaware of the situation.
