Cromwell School Lock Down Lifted After Chase
Updated 1:56 PM EST, Fri, Nov 20, 2009
All Cromwell public schools were put into lockdown Friday afternoon as police searched for a burglary suspect who fled a traffic stop. The lockdown was lifted by 1:50 p.m.
The incident began in Rocky Hill. When police in that town tried to pull the vehicle over, it gave chase and crossed into Cromwell. Once the car came to a stop, one person bailed from the vehicle and started off on foot.
The search continues in the area of Main and Nooks Hill Road.
School officials say all students are safe and the situation is under control.
