“Dirty” Cop Resigns, Arrested Again

A Stamford Police officer accused of showing a picture of his genitals to a woman during a traffic stop resigned Friday, according to the Connecticut Post.

Paul Mabey's resignation came as internal affairs officers charged him with three more counts of disorderly conduct.   The charges were filed after two more women came forward with allegations against Mabey, the paper reported.

Mabey was suspended last month after the woman filed a complaint about the incident. He was first arrested June 2, and charged with disorderly conduct.

Mabey pulled the unidentified woman, 26, over for talking on her cell phone, according to the police report. She claimed Mabey, a 14-year veteran of the force, showed her the picture of his genitals on his cell phone after she denied his advances during the traffic stop.

Investigators seized Mabey's cell phone and found eight images of male genitals on it, according to the Connecticut Post.

Mabey returns to court on July 8.
