Three Killed in Rocky Hill Crash

Three people are dead after a four-car crash on West Street in Rocky Hill Sunday evening.
Two people were pronounced dead at the scene after four cars collided at West Street and Gilbert Avenue around 5 p.m. A woman was transported by Life Star to Hartford Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
Three other people were injured in the crash and remained at the hospital Monday morning. Their names and conditions have not been released.
One car burst into flames and the road was closed from Sunday until about 3 a.m. Monday as police investigated.
"Oh my God, all there was black smoke, then all of a sudden, 'boom,' the fire started," Gail Herrick, of Rocky Hill, said.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
