When Jerry Springer moved to Connecticut, there was plenty of excitement about how the production would boost the economy. Who knew they meant the business of bail bondsmen?
Instead of waiting for their fifteen minutes of fame on the Jerry Springer show, two men started throwing punches in a hotel lobby at 3:30 a.m. Monday.
The two were staying in rooms rented by the Springer show and were supposed to be participants in tapaings today. It is unclear if they were scheduled to be on the same show.
Stamford Police say Robert Pruitt of Lincoln, Ala., punched a guy from Texas a few times. They said Pruitt suspected the alleged victim of stealing a wallet and some prescription drugs.
Police have charged the Alabaman with third degree assault. He was released on $500 bond and must appear in court on Nov. 20.
