Jerome Smalls, 43, of Norwalk, was arrested on Saturday after allegedly threatening his wife at knife-point for canceling his ESPN, police said.
Officers responded to the Smalls' home on West Main Street late Saturday night after getting a call about an armed man.
Smalls' wife told police that her husband grabbed a kitchen knife and threatened her after he learned that she had ended the family's cable package because they could no longer afford it.
Smalls was most angry over losing his beloved ESPN, Sgt. Lisa Cotto said.
He was arraigned on disorderly conduct and second-degree threatening charges Monday.
