Listen Up AT&T!

Almost 400 AT&T union workers from across Connecticut rallied together in the cold on the steps of the State Capitol in an effort to save jobs.

Last month, AT&T announced plans to slash 40,000 jobs nationwide, 450 of those jobs coming from Connecticut.

In the shadow of an AT&T building, union workers held homemade signs and even brought out a blow up rat Thursday to get their point across to anyone who would listen.

"Day by day the morale is horrible.  In our garage everyday we don't know if we're going to have a job or travel 50 miles to a new job.  We don't know what we're going to do," said AT&T employee Chad Turoczi.

While the worker's union says customers will suffer, AT&T says the cuts are unavoidable because traditional land-line demand has declined significantly recently .
