The search is over for a missing 5-year-old girl from Guilford who police believe was taken by her biological father.
Emily Witz had last been seen around 1 p.m. Friday, and after media attention, she was found during the 5 p.m. hour.
Her father, William Witz, 39, does not have a car and had been feared to be heading to Essington, Pennsylvania or Delaware by public transportation, said police.
Police say the girl is fine. Her father contacted police and told them he in fact had taken his daughter to Essington, Pennsylvania to be with his family.
Police add that there is a possible custody dispute between the parents. No charges have been filed.
Police initially were told he has a history of mental illness.
