Snowball Toss Turns Into Alleged Kidnapping: Cops

A snowball prank became a police issue, and potentially dangerous, when a man grabbed a teen, forced him into the car and brought the boy to the boy’s house, police said.

A group of kids were throwing snowballs near Colony Park on Friday night when one of them hit Joshua Good’s car, police say.

The angry 25-year-old man got out of his car with a pocketknife, police said.

Ansonia police say a 13-year-old called 911 to say a man had taken his friend away in a vehicle at Colony Park on Colony Street in Ansonia.

As police investigates, Good said he put the knife away once he saw how young the pranksters were.

The kids told police that Good had a knife out when he approached the kids and put it up to of one the kid’s necks, police say.  Good then forced a 13-year-old boy into his car and took the boy home, police said.

Good was charged with first-degree kidnapping, threatening and reckless endangerment. No one was injured.

Good posted $150,000 bail and didn't immediately return a phone message to the Associated Press on Wednesday.
