Hurricane Bill could be making some huge waves along the shores of New England over the weekend, so it will be no weekend for a beach trip.

If that was your plan, now’s the time to decide on something to do inland. The storm weakened slightly to Category 3 Thursday morning as it blew winds up to 125 mph over the Atlantic, but it could pick up power in the next 24 hours and again become a Category 4 storm, bringing winds from 131 to 155 mph.

That could create some dangerous conditions on Connecticut’s shoreline when  the storm brings dangerous waves up to 20-feet high and riptides to the Eastern shore, from Florida up to Canada.

And Bill could get close enough to the New England shore to cause problems like wind and rough seas.
