Teen Charged in Latest Shelton High Threat

A 16-year-old boy has been arrested, accused in the latest incident that's disrupted the school day at Shelton High.

A suspicious note mentioning a threat to the school was found Monday, according to police.

It specified a certain time period, so the school's headmaster notified police and placed the school in lock-down for about two hours.

Once the lock down was lifted, students went about their normal day, but police stayed until the end of the school day as a precaution and eventually traced the note back to the teenage boy.

He's been charged with breach of peace and falsely reporting an incident.

It's at least the fourth time in a month that a threat has caused problems for classes at Shelton.

A 12-year-old girl and two Shelton High School students were arrested, accused of making bomb threats to Shelton schools in October. The high school students were expelled last week.

The high school was evacuated last Thursday after a bomb threat was found on the wall in a bathroom. No one has been arrested in that incident.
